Kathrine Nero is Vice President of Media at Game Day, leading media relations strategy and media training while helping clients shape their messages and show up with confidence across today’s news landscape.

Before joining Game Day, Kathrine spent more than two decades in local television as an award-winning morning news and sports anchor. Her career included time as a sideline reporter for Xavier basketball and as a pre- and post-game host for the Cincinnati Reds. She then expanded into digital journalism and social media at The Cincinnati Enquirer. With experience across television, radio, digital, sports, social media, print, and podcasting, she understands what resonates with newsrooms and audiences - insight she now brings to every client interaction.\

Kathrine is a graduate of the University of Memphis, and with her husband and two daughters, calls Northern Kentucky home. She is a champion for NKY, as well as a repeat No. 2 “Best Northern Kentuckian” according to CityBeat readers, just behind some guy named George Clooney. She also serves on the boards of the Karen Wellington Foundation and Queen City Theatre Collaborative, teaches at the University of Cincinnati, loves musical theatre, thrifting, coffee and Elvis (and is a former Graceland tour guide), and as a two-time breast cancer survivor, she reminds you: it’s time to get a mammogram.
