Jackie Reau, CEO of Game Day Communications, has more than 25 years of experience and specializes in strategic communications planning, social media strategy and crisis management. Before launching GDC, Jackie worked in health care at The Christ Hospital and as director of marketing at the Cincinnati Art Museum.

Jackie is an adjunct professor at the University of Cincinnati where she teaches Sports PR and at Xavier University where she teaches in the sports administration graduate program. 

She is also active in the community serving on boards of the following: Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati, Mt. Saint Joseph University, Ohio University Foundation, Reds Community Fund and the YWCA Greater Cincinnati. She currently serves as the Board Chair of the Greater Cincinnati Sports Commission.

In 2007, Jackie was named Public Relations Practitioner of the Year by the Cincinnati chapter of Public Relations Society of America. In 2011, she was honored with the chapter’s highest honor, Werner-VonderHaar-Bogart Award. Last year, she received the Medal of Merit from Ohio University, the highest alumni honor bestowed by the university.

Jackie earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University and a master’s in sports administration at Ohio University. She has also studied at the Harvard Business School earning a certificate in Non-Profit Management.

She has finished four half marathons and has visited all 30 Major League Baseball parks. 

Favorite sports memory

Ohio University beating the University of Michigan in the first round of the NCAA tournament in Nashville in 2012.
