Alanee Wright has a passion for education, inspiration, and empowerment through the art of storytelling. They have already garnered a vast amount of experience in strategic communication, community outreach, as well as membership and client development. Currently serving as a Client Strategy Coordinator at Game Day, Alanee recently graduated from Xavier University with cum laude honors and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations. Their professional journey includes significant internship experiences, such as their role as a Communications Specialist Intern at YWCA Cincinnati, where they developed impactful social media initiatives and led the "Empowerment through Menstrual Products" project, integrating domestic violence resources into discreet QR codes. Previously, as a Community Voice Intern at Pillsbury United Communities in Minneapolis, Alanee managed social media accounts, covered local events, and orchestrated multimedia campaigns. They bring a rich history of community service, from childhood involvement in Kiwanis Club to volunteering at programs like Saturday Hoops and Wesley Chapel Mission Center, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to empowering youth and making a positive impact in their community.

What is the best single day on the calendar?

 When the NCAA March Madness starts. 

What is at the top of your bucket list?

I would love to travel to Uganda, Africa.

What’s Your most cherished sports memory?

 Last summer, attending my first WNBA game in Minnesota to watch the Lynx vs Fever.

If you were a food item, what would you be and why?

I would be a salted caramel cheesecake. It balances your savory and sweety flavors.  It combines the richness and sweetness of caramel with a hint of saltiness, appealing to both your sweet tooth and serious palate.
