Game Day Communications has managed the mobile event marketing program for the title sponsor of the Reds Caravan (Cincinnati USA Regional Tourism Network) for the past seven years.
The objective of the program was to create awareness of Cincinnati USA as a summer destination for potential travelers living outside with a mobile marketing tour as part of the Reds Caravan. The annual Reds Caravan comprises three tour legs traveling to four states over four days.
Our team developed an activation plan for the Reds Caravan on behalf of CincinnatiUSA.com which includes a team of six staff, transportation, hotel accommodations, and on-site display. We also conducted live media interviews on behalf of CincinnatiUSA.com during the Reds Caravan, and capture and share social media content on behalf of CincinnatiUSA.com during the Reds Caravan.
Results from the 2015 Reds Caravan resulted in the following:
- 3,000 miles over four days on three separate routes, visiting some 40 different events in four states (Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and West Virginia).
- 176 media stories were aired over four days resulting in an earned media value of $719,022 reaching an audience of 7.9 million (Nielsen).
- Some 1,700 mentions of #RedsCaravan on Twitter (up from 619 in 2011) with #RedsCaravan trending on Twitter Cincinnati for each of the four days.
