Anthony Muñoz Foundation Accepting Nominations for Straight “A” Scholarship
Award Honors Tri-State High School Students’ All-Around Achievements
CINCINNATI, OH (January 21, 2017) – The Anthony Muñoz Foundation is currently accepting nominations for their 15th annual Straight “A” Scholarship. Eighteen exceptional seniors will receive a scholarship worth a total of $42,000 towards their college education. These eighteen students will be honored at the Straight “A” Luncheon on April 25th held at Jeff Ruby’s.
The Straight “A” Scholarship recognizes students who are:
Pursing Academic excellence as well as Athletic achievement
Actively serving the community
Possessing a strong Ambition
Maintaining a winning Attitude
Having the ability to overcome Adversity
All high school students (freshman, sophomores, juniors and seniors) with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA and who live within the Anthony Muñoz Foundation impact region are eligible to be nominated and recognized. Only seniors are eligible for scholarship money. The nomination form for the Straight “A” Scholarship is available online at munozfoundation.org. Anyone from the community may nominate a deserving student. The deadline to nominate is Friday, February 24th.
“This scholarship has awarded over $304,000 to 216 exceptional high school seniors for the past 12 years,” said Anthony Munoz. “The students we recognize strive to succeed in athletics, but more importantly in what they are doing academically and within their community, all while overcoming some type of adversity,” says Anthony Muñoz. “I am grateful to the community for consistently helping us reach these incredible students and allowing us the opportunity to recognize their overall achievements.”
